I'm Tanya, founder of Bluford Consulting. For more than 20 years I've worked with organizations across the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, and what I've learned is that most leaders don't need more frameworks or more information. They need a thinking partner — someone who can help them see the assumptions inside their decisions, anticipate how people will actually respond, and chart a path that holds up under pressure.

My academic training is in psychology (B.A.) and counseling (M.S.), which means I bring a clinician's attention to how people think, feel, and behave into every conversation about strategy, policy, and culture. About two-thirds of my career has been in the nonprofit sector, where I learned that resource constraints don't reduce the complexity of leadership — they amplify it. That perspective shapes how I show up for every client, whether you're leading a mission-driven nonprofit or a growing company.

I'm driven by integrity, transparency, and the conviction that better leadership produces better outcomes for everyone connected to an organization.
